Bank Norwegian is a fully digital bank that started its operations in November 2007 and offers simple, standardised deposit and lending products in the Nordic market. We use and develop the latest technology, automation, self-help services and mobile app to enhance and improve the customer experience. In 2013, the Bank expanded to Sweden and continued to grow in the Nordic countries in 2015, opening up both Denmark and Finland. In 2021, the bank has further expanded to Spain and Germany. In total, more than 1.7 million customers have chosen Bank Norwegian as their secondary bank through the products we offer - consumer loans, credit cards and deposit accounts.
In November 2021, the bank became part of the privately owned Swedish Nordax Group. Together with Nordax, we will continue to grow as digital leader in lending, credit cards and savings in Europe. Leading digital bank is looking for a manager to the business in Germany
Bank Norwegian has established itself as the leading player within the consumer finance space in the Nordic region. We want to strengthen our presence Germany . You are commercially minded and get motivated by sales and delivering on ambitious targets. We believe you have worked in or towards the German market for credit cards or other types of consumer finance related financial services. Knowledge of national and European payment infrastructures and competitive landscape in Germany is highly desired.
The position is based physically at Bank Norwegians headquarter at Fornebu, ten minutes outside of Oslo, the capital in Norway, with easy commute in the region. The role is newly created and reports to the product manager for credit card or CMO, depending on previous experience. For particularly experienced candidates, the creation of a separate business area and direct reporting to the CEO will be considered.
The bank is flexible and open to candidates working remotely and having their primary base in Germany. However, our employees wellbeing and balance is important, and cooperation is often best when being at the same place physically, at Fornebu. The candidate should be prepared for travelling to Bank Norwegian’s premises in Norway on an regular basis.

Key tasks and responsibilities:
• Contributing actively in the planning and executing of the risk strategy and marketing strategy for the German market
• Identify sales channels and enter into agreements with relevant agents / distribution partners
• Plan and carry out sales and marketing activities
• Facilitate `underwriting` and establish a credit policy for optimizing profitability
• Develop a strategy for credit card growth in Germany
• Secure Bank Norwegian's position as a leading credit card player in Germany
• Ensure compliance with compliance requirements, including both nationally and internationally applicable regulations
• Some travel activities must be expected, depending on the preferred place of work
Desired qualifications, experience and qualities:
• Financial education at bachelor or masters degree level
• Strong quantitative skills as well as understanding of profitability
• Results-, action-and goal-oriented with an analytical approach
• Good overview and a structural approach to solving tasks and issues at hand
• Experience from sales and marketing, or relevant credit experience from the German market
• Relevant eperience with credit cards, loans or other forms of financing aimed at the consumer finance market in Germany
• Commercial smartness
• Fluent in German and English
• Good understanding of Compliance, local rules and regulation relevant for the financial sector
• Relationship builder - generous, informal and sociable
• Management experience and experience with P&L responsibility
